This is one of my favorite foods that I eat every day. I was introduced to the idea by a buddy at the gym and it is absolutely delicious and a great source of fiber, healthy fats and protein.

Vanilla Almond Butter Oatmeal Ingredients

To make this delicious breakfast oatmeal, you are going to need four items

  • 1/2 cup Oatmeal
  • 1 scoop vanilla whey protein isolate
  • 1 tablespoon natural almond butter or peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup water

Start out by pouring 1/2 cup of Oatmeal into a medium sized bowl.

Place the bowl in the mircowave and cook on high for 45 seconds (this will vary microwave to microwave).

Remove bowl of oatmeal from the microwave and add in your tablespoon of peanut butter and your scoop of vanilla isolate whey protein.

Stir the ingredients in until the powder has completely been absorbed and the almond butter or peanut butter is well blended.

Place the bowl back into the microwave for an additional minute.

Remove from the microwave and stir to make sure the consistency is how you like it.

Allow the oatmeal to cool for a minute or two then enjoy!

Other Information
This meal is an absolutely fantastic way to start your day. It is rich in complex carbohydrates from the oatmeal, healthy fats from the almond butter and protein from the whey for a nice metabolic boost. If you want to further increase the healthy factor on this meal, add in a tablespoon or two of ground flax seed. The Polyunsaturates in the Flax and the fiber in the oatmeal can have a very positive effect on your cholesterol levels.
