Help, My Ipod Broke

By | Jul 27, 2009 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Apple Ipods are a fantastic invention. They are great for road trips when you can't find pick up any radio signals or a decent radio station. They allow you to be your own personal DJ by adding all of your favorite music and they allow for you to set up playlists.

It's easy to take an ipod for granted. At home I listen primarily to an online music service which features my own personal music on playlists. But I can't take that service with me in the car or to the gym. That is when I really count on my trusty ipod nano. I have had my 3rd generation ipod nano for almost 3 years now with no problems. In fact i liked mine so much I even bought a refurbished nano for my sister and hers has worked just fine.

It has been by my faithful companion faithfully through air travel, 8 hour road trips, hundreds of mile runs and countless hours in the gym. When your ipod just decides one day to go off the handle and freak out, you start to panic!

I was running on the treadmill next to a hot guy I have had my eye on every morning for the past 3 weeks. I was about 15 minutes into my running interval training when a song came on that I was not feeling at the moment, so I did like I always do when a song plays I am not in the mood for; I skipped it. Right then and there my ipod broke. It got its feelings hurt and decided instead of skipping just the next song, it would now skip through every single song and never even play a song the rest of its days! I thought turning it off would help. I did and turned it back on to tray and finish my last 5 minutes of my training but when I turned it back on. It began to do the same thing; skipping through my entire 175 loaded songs. I tried to turn it off 2-3 more times and even selected different playlists. Not even the shuffle would work. It was official; my trusty ipod broke.

Without music to finish my workout, my ipod called it quits for me for the day. The rest of the morning I continued trying to turn it off and then on to see if it was still mad at me and it did the same skipping action.

I came home and tuned into my favorite internet music online and I started browsing online prices for a new nano. $150+ to replace it. That was $150 I don't have. I decided to start searching on how I could possibly fix it and came across an article where a man had the answer to my problem! It was so simple! Just hold down the menu button while holding down the center button at the same time. It reset my ipod and it was good as new!

Thank you, oh thank you "Mr. ipod broke article writer"!
