Hemorrhoids and Treatment
Because of the pain that is associated with hemorrhoids, they're very widely known. Hemorrhoids are actually tissue that have blood vessels contained inside of them. They are commonly found in the anal area of a person. The pain from these blood vessels come from swelling or engorgement of those vessels. Not everyone suffers from hemorrhoids and they can be misdiagnosed from time to time.
When these blood vessels get bigger, it makes it difficult for a stool to pass through. When the feces tries to pass through the small space, the blood vessels are impacted by pressure and can be damaged. This can cause them to bleed which will often mix blood with the stool (this is the most obvious symptom of hemorrhoids. Good treatment needs to be approached to help heal the hemorrhoid and give meaningful relief.
One reason why people can get hemorrhoids is through insufficient fiber in their diet. When people don't ingest enough dietary fiber, they can have hemorrhoid problems. But, if you have a fiber-rich diet, your stools will soften and make it easier to pass through the anus. Laxatives (in drug form) should be avoided as a hemorrhoid treatment. However, fruit like papaya, which are known for their natural laxative qualities, are recommended as hemorrhoid treatments.
Topical oils and ointments can also be used to help pass stools when suffering from pain because of a hemorrhoid. These topical ointments will lubricate the anus and allow hard stools to pass without causing extreme pressure or strain. There are many natural hemorrhoid ointments you can buy from the store that use organic ingredients. Aloe Vera, for example, is one on the most recommended ointments for hemorrhoids.
If you have hemorrhoid problems for prolonged periods of time (they normally last a few days to one or two weeks), you should visit a doctor. In fact, if you're experiencing extreme pain, or feel like it's severe, you should see a doctor right away.
