Herbal Remedies for Eczema - 2 Must Use Treatments That Work

By Edited Feb 21, 2014 1 0

While eczema is a very common skin condition affecting a wide range of people all over the world. the treatments that are available appear to be slim to none. Most of those who suffer from eczema are treated with either one of two types of treatments:

- Over the counter creams and ointments

- Prescription creams and ointments that contain powerful chemicals and steriods

It's wild to think that with something so common, more treatments don't exist. What most people are not aware of is that there are many different alternative cures for eczema - they just haven't actively went out and did the research. Not only that, but these types of treatments can be found either in your own home or at your neighborhood store.

If you find yourself using any of the two treatments I've mentioned above and haven't had any luck in curing your eczema, you need to consider trying herbal remedies for eczema. While there are many different treatment methods available, I'm going to share two methods with you that work well when used in combination with one another.

Chamomile Oil

Chamomile oil is a natural herb that has been used to treat various skin conditions for a number of years, particularly eczema. You can find this at many natural food stores in your area or online. It works to help bring moisture back into the affected skin, which instantly relieves pain and the intense itching that eczema causes. It can be applied as many times as needed, and isn't harmful to the skin (unlike it's chemical filled counterparts listed above).

Epsom Salt

Epsom salt has also been used for a number of different home remedies and eczema is no exception! You can find epsom salt at your local grocery store with all other over the counter meds. To use it, simply take one cup of the epsom salt crystals and dissolve them in warm bath water. Soak your body in the solution for 15 to 30 minutes and pat your skin dry. This will help shed the dead skin that causes itching. Apply chamomile oil on your eczema afterwards for even better results.

These are just two herbal remedies for eczema that work wonders when combined with each other, but there are many more. You can find various herbal remedies for eczema just by conducting some research online.

Get rid of those overpriced prescription and over the counter creams and start using herbal remedies for eczema to get your skin back in your control!
