Holiday Munchies
Here are a few quick recipes we have enjoyed during the holidays:
Shrimp Cocktail Dip
1 8 oz pack of cream cheese softened
1 can of shrimp (like the tuna can)
1 bottle of shrimp cocktail sauce
First layer is the softened cream cheese. In a separate mixing bowl mix the cocktail sauce and shrimp together - use more sauce if you like it saucier - or less if you like it more shrimpy. Spread on top of your cream cheese and serve with crackers.
Hot Cheese Dip
1 8 oz pack of cream cheese softened
1 can of Hormel Chili with no beans
1 8 oz pack of shredded cheese
pepper rings (optional) or black olives
Spread cream cheese in a microwaveable plate with edges. We use a round stone for baking cakes. Spread the chili on top of cream cheese. Add pepper rings on top (if you want them), then top with shredded cheese. Place in microwave and cook until bubbly. You can also do this in the oven if you would like to. Serve with corn chips.

Chocolate Covered Pretzels
Bricks of chocolate or white chocolate for melting
bag of pretzels (the peanut butter filled are good)
wax paper
Melt chocolate on plate in microwave. Be careful to not overcook it. Roll pretzels in chocolate and place on wax paper. Sprinkle crushed nuts or sprinkles while chocolate is melted.
BBQ Kielbasa
2 rings of kielbasa
1 medium jar of grape or apple jelly
1 medium jar of mustard
Mix jelly and mustard in crock pot. Add sliced kielbasa and stir. Heat on low for 1 hour. Sound weird, but it is really good!!!
