Home Security Comparison

With this home security comparison, which is better to have, a dog or a home security system? In my opinion, it depends on what type of dog you have, for instance, if you have a little pet chihuahua, then the burglar will probably just laugh and rob your house anyway, but you have a pretty big dog, the burglar will probably think twice. With this kind of home security comparison, a lot of people would say that you should have a home security system, but I think not.

Your home security system may be the best system in the world with sirens going off and lights flashing, but some burglars just don't care about all that and they will break in your house anyway. Most often this will happen when the burglar thinks that he can get in and out before the police get there. As valuable as a home security device is, all it really does is try to scare of the robber and alert the proper authorities, and the fact is, the cops don't always get there in time.

If you have a dog protecting your home, it is a bigger and more immediate threat to the burglar. When the alarm goes off, a robber may still keep going into your home and take your belongings if he thinks he can get out in time, but if you have a dog in your home, the robber will think twice before continuing. So in this kind of home security comparison, the dog would win my vote over the home security device. If a robber goes inside a house and is greeted by an angry, barking, large dog, he is going to want to get out to protect his own well being.

Dogs have very sharp senses, quick reflexes, and are quite a lot faster than your average person, so they are used to protect numerous locations. A guard dog would work best in this situation, but even if you have just an average dog, he will be enough to persuade the robber to keep out. The best solution, of course, would be to have both a security device and a dog to protect your home.

When it comes to this form of home security comparison, having a large dog in your home will help deter a robber from trying to steal your things because a dog is more of a threat to the burglar and is scarier, particularly if the robber didn't know that the dog was there to begin with. To current dog owners its a free home security system and it definitely beats just putting up some home security signs as a deterrent.

If a robber comes into your home, you can rest assured that your dog's sharp senses will detect him. If you do want to get a home security device for you home, then you can find any one you would like by looking on the internet. Take a look around online and do a comparison of home security systems, especially if you don't own a good dog!
