Now that fresh peaches are plentiful, pick your own or buy some at your local market.
You can easily freeze or can peaches to save them for later use in many desserts.
One of which is this frozen peach yogurt. Its an easy to make creamy treat.
What you'll need;
2-cups fresh or frozen peaches, unsweetened
1-envelope unflavored gelatin
1/4-cup white granulated sugar
2-cups vanilla yogurt
blender or food processor
9-inch square dish
Place peaches in the blender or food processor, cover and process until pureed.
In a small saucepan combine the cold water and unflavored gelatin, let set for 1 minute.
Stir in the sugar and cook on low heat until gelatin and sugar are dissolved.
In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, pureed peaches and the gelatin mixture.
Stir until well blended. Pour into the 9-inch pan, cover and freeze for 3 to 4 hours,
or just until partly set.
After the 3 or 4 hours are up, put the mixture in a large mixing bowl and beat
with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy.
Pour into freezer container, cover and freeze until firm. Should take about 2 or 3 hours.
Makes 6 servings.
Tip; use within 3 weeks.
