Where To Find Homeschool Conventions

The homeschool system of education has been growing over the years. Does it work? A resounding yes! Homeschoolers have been successfully going on to colleges. Some people have thought that children should be in public schools because of the interaction with other children.

This is not an issue, because there are hundreds of homeschool organizations and they do offer group classes where kids interact with others and with teachers. I know this, because I have personally taught homeschool guitar classes.

Homeschool conventions are a wonderful place to find teaching materials and to get training for teaching your children. CHEA

One of the organizations is called CHEA. CHEA stands for the Christian Home Educators Association. There is a CHEA convention in several states across the US. If you live in California, come to the CHEA convention in CA and look for our booth, Jean Welles Worship Guitar.

We've been exhibiting at CHEA for several years. If it's not too busy, we can even give you a 5 minute free guitar lesson. People have been surprised at how quickly they can learn to play a song on the guitar.

At the conventions you can meet other home school families, get the latest ideas of how to home school and also find resources for teaching your children all the subject. You should consider having your child learn to play an instrument too. It's been proven that learning an instrument helps the development of their brains.

You will find resources for learning English, Science, Math, Music and all of the classes that are required for going on to college. There are also online communities with discussion boards help for those new to homeschooling and much more. You can participate in these communities to find out the newest ideas for teaching homeschool kids. You can also learn the many benefits and find new friends who share your goals and values.
