Honeycomb Window Blinds For Beautiful Homes

By | Nov 26, 2009 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Window blinds differ in shapes and sizes. There are two different shapes of them which are the horizontal blinds and the vertical blinds. Cellular window blinds are also known as honeycomb blinds. They are known as honeycomb coverings because of their structure.

Cellular Window Blinds are made of several layers on the inside. They are also made of high quality material which is a good thing because that means they would last you a life time and you will not have to replace them with other window coverings.

They also protect your indoor furniture from direct sunlight without being damaged themselves. They were also named 'honeycomb' because their structure is very similar to the structure of a beehive. In other words they are made of several cells.

What many people do not know about honeycomb window coverings is that the built in cells inside of them actually traps the heat and cool air. That is why they are excellent insulators. They trap the energy inside the house and do not allow it to pass through them. So if it is summer and you have the air conditioners on then you do not need to worry about losing the cool air even if you do not have built in insulators in your walls.

Of course some of the cool air will escape through the walls but you can guarantee that none of it will escape through your windows as long as you have honeycomb window blinds installed. The same thing goes for winter time. When you have the heaters on most of the warm air will stay indoors and none of the cold air outside will pass through your windows.
