General Information
Hosta Hollywood Lights is a large variegated plant that has a medium rate of growth. This perennial is a sport of Hosta On Stage. Hollywood Lights is under patent until 10/06/2025. This Hosta plant can be grown in the sun and it is not slug resistant.

Plant and Leaf Size
Hollywood Lights is a large plant that grows to 23 inches high and forms a clump that can get up to 50 inches in diameter. The leaves of this plant are also large measuring 14 inches long by 10 inches wide. This large sized Hosta needs plenty of garden space to grow into. Cramming this plant into a small area is not a good idea give it plenty of room.

Leaf Color and Details
The variegated leaves of this plant have a yellow base color with wide green edges. The yellow base is streaky and streaks out towards the leaf edge. The leaves of Hosta Hollywood Lights are slightly textured and the veins are not strongly visible. The leaves of this Hosta fold downward.

Flower Color and Details
The tubular flowers are lavender and bloom from mid July to mid August. They are held on flower stalks that are 27 inches high. This plant does have viable seed but if planted the seed will not come true to type. The plant is under patent but the only way to get a duplicate of the parent is by division.

Hosta Hollywood Lights is a beautiful sun tolerant Hosta that can be grown as a specimen or together with other sun plants. How much sun it can take can vary by region so it may take a little experimenting to determine the best amount of sun it should receive.
