This plant forms a clump that is 6 inches high and 12 inches wide. This fast growing Hosta variety forms a neat and orderly clump of foliage. The leaves are 3 inches long by 1 inch wide. It is sun resistant but is not slug resistant.
Hosta Twist of Lime has a dark yellow/green leaf with narrow green edges. The margin color occasionally streaks into the base color. The leaves are lance-shaped and somewhat twisted. The clump that this plant forms has a very nice upright and full shape. The color contrast between the main and accent color of the leaves is a bit understated but when combined with the orderly clump makes for an elegant garden plant.
The flowers of Twist of Lime Hosta are dark lavender and they bloom from early June to early July. The tubular shaped flowers are held on 16 inch flower stalks and the seed that it produces is viable. As with the other miniature Hostas the flowers seem oversized in comparison to the plant itself. For some reason the flowers don't get smaller when the plants do.
Hosta Twist of Lime is a great plant for a small sunny garden. This Hosta can be grown in pots that are raised to make it easier to see or in a mixed border where it can be combined with other plants to form an attractive plant combo. Twist of Lime can be used in a formal or casual setting.
