Disneyland is located in sunny Anaheim, Cal. and there are a lot of hotels to stay at near this major attraction. As you might expect, many of the hotels were designed with families in mind. Room options vary. Often connecting rooms are a good option for families with older children who want some additional privacy. Also, suites with kitchenettes are a great idea for families who want to avoid eating at restaurants the entire trip. Not only does eating in the room save time, it also saves money as Disneyland food certainly is not inexpensive. Before selecting your hotel, make sure to shop around and compare prices with your travel dates in mind. Once your target a hotel, book fast because these locations tens to fill up quick.

The "Candy-Cane Inn" is a well-liked hotel very close to Disneyland. It claims to be the most attractive property in the area and most rooms have a breakfast buffet included and a later than normal checkout time. The best part about the hotel is its location, which is two hundred fifty yards from the Disneyland entrance. There is a shuttle, but why ride when you can walk? Lately, room fees start low at $99/night, but quickly rise to $189/night depending on the amenities selected and the season. Call the hotel, itself, to get the best rates, rather than using an intermediary service.

If you are looking for a one room suite (which usually means a bed, with sitting area and small kitchen, then consider the Ayres Hotel. Its french country style is fun, but past guests have complained that breakfast ends to early and that early check in is frowned upon (and fees may be assessed). Again, rates vary via season and rooms prices start at $100.

Did you bring your dog? The Embassy Suites: Anaheim North Hotel allows pets. It is not far from the park or other southern California attractions. The suites are not as expensive as the name implies and can start for as low as $109/night, which even includes breakfast.

Another across-the-highway from Disney option is the Fairfield Inn Disneyland. There is no breakfast included in the rate (though it can be added) and room prices start at $129/night.

These are just some of the hotels near Disneyland. Prices remain low because there is much competition between facilities. Expect that school vacation times and nice weather seasons will cause hotel prices to rise. Most families want to get a way when school is not in session so if you do not have kids, you may want to avoid Disneyland at Christmas, in April or during the summer. One website that can detail the cost of hotels in one chart is TripAdvisor.com It is a great resource because you can compare prices and hotel amenities all in the same place and then jump to a hotel website once you make your selection.
