For the longest time, I used to have four websites that I opened when I first logged into my computer in the morning.  Gmail, Google, CNN and Digg.  I looked around and tried to find a plug-in for Firefox that could actually open my four common web pages in tabs when I launched Firefox.  Fortunately for me, it is actually built into Firefox by default.

Instructions:
To setup multiple homepages in Firefox follow these easy steps:

  • In the file menu (at the top of the screen), click tools then options
  • Next, click on the main tab.
  • In the home page text box, enter your homepage URLs separated by a pipe '|' for example: www.gmail.com | www.google.com | www.cnn.com | www.digg.com

Next time you boot up Firefox, or click the home button all of these web sites will open in separate tabs.
