How-to Sync Xbox 360 Wireless Controllers
Today, wired video game controllers are becoming a thing of the past. Most video game controllers these days use 2.4Ghz frequency radio signals to communicate up to 30 feet from the system. Like anything beneficial there always seems to be something negative that comes along with the new added benefits. In the case of wireless controllers the biggest issue is syncing the controller to your system. You may need to sync a controller when you replace the batteries, when you get a new controller or if you have synced your controllers to a friend's Xbox 360.
With the Xbox 360, if your controller is not synced, the ring of light in the middle of the controller with light up and continue cycling around in a circle, not stopping in one of the four positions. If your controller is doing this, it means you have to re-sync it with the system. Fortunately syncing your controller is easier than you may think.
First, make sure you have turned on your console, then turn on the controller you want to sync up with your system. Next press the connect button on the console which can be located right next to the two memory card slots on the front of the console. Once the connect button has been pressed on the console, push the connect button located on the back of the controllers just above the battery release button.
You've done it, the green light on the front of the controller should circle then stop on one of the four positions on the circle and stay lit. If this didn't work, try it again, sometimes it can be a bit finicky.
