How Do Clairvoyants Work?

By | Aug 16, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0
Given the number of depictions of clairvoyants on movies, television and in books, it is no wonder that many people who are unsure exactly what they do have a picture of the manner in which they work. The stereotypical picture of the clairvoyant at work tends to involve a great deal of theatrics, with crystal balls, head scarves and disembodied voices. Those who enter into their first meeting with a psychic while carrying these expectations may become a bit disillusioned, as most who are practicing today have done away with these theatrical flourishes, in favor of a more comfortable, intimate setting.

There is no one way that clairvoyants gain access to their "visions" of the future. In fact, the term visions itself can be unnecessarily limited. Each psychic explains their communication with the paranormal in a different way. Some do feel that they communicate through sight, while others may hear voices, notice smells, or simply feel strong emotions being communicated through them. Believers in such paranormal activities are generally of the mind that each of these methods of communication is equally valid, and recognize that while individual methods may vary from psychic to psychic, the end result is the same. For this reason, first time visitors should feel free to ask any questions about the means by which their psychic experiences "visions," but should keep an open mind until they have had an opportunity to experience them first hand.

There is some debate about how common psychic powers really are. Some feel that almost everyone possess psychic abilities to some degree or another, but that in some the powers are simply more acute. Others feel that few are gifted with psychic abilities. No matter which camp you fall into, it is important to determine early on if the psychic that you are seeing is, in fact, gifted. As mentioned above, it can be difficult to determine whether or not a psychic is talented based simply on first impressions. Instead, new visitors should be willing to enter into any and all new relationships with psychics with an open mind and a willingness to hear about their methods.

Clairvoyants work in a number of different ways, with no two experiencing the paranormal alike. In spite of conventional wisdom to the contrary, most who claim to be a clairvoyant are thoroughly modern, and more than willing to communicate with clients via email, telephone or any other method that most puts them at ease.
