How Do You Know Which Type of As Seen on TV Exercise Equipment Works Best for You

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 1 | |

Most middle aged folks (like myself) have a desire to get back into shape. Time flies so quickly that one day we turn around and our fitness level has atrophied and ceases to exist. I know this becomes readily apparent to me when I watch an Rocky flick, or Bloodsport movies and think...man, I used to be able to do that stuff.

Next thing you know, I am making all sorts of crazy commitments to myself that I am going to get back into shape, and be able to do that stuff again. It sounds good at the time, but then reality sets in...where in the world am I going to find time to do this, and where do I begin???

So my first stop was to visit the Almighty Oracle - Google. The G knows all and sees all. Right away I spotted an advertisement for some of the As Seen on TV exercise equipment...you know the kind they peddle late into the night (typically after I have gone to bed). The site led me to a world of equipment I didn't even know existed.

Back in the day, if you wanted to tighten up your abs, you did crunches and sit-ups. If you were really in shape, you could do inverted sit-ups. Now, they have the Ab Glider, the Ab Circle, the Ab Lounger, the Ab Scissors...the list goes on and on. Holy cow people, how hard is it to just work a thousand crunches. Everybody out there is trying to sell you something. They have a better way to do push-ups and pull-ups...where do you even begin???

I am going to be looking into this some more, and I will be sure to follow up with my results. Maybe I will toss the idea of trying any of those As Seen on TV items out the window and just go back to good old hard work.

I am going to try and sift through all of the ab stuff first, as that is where I really need to start this workout stuff, then I plan on to shoulders and arms, and then finally legs and back. Let me tell you, there is no shortage of equipment out there. I think it is important to determine precisely what your goals are and what your end-state is before you begin. So, this is what I am going to set out to do. Maybe I will be able to muster the strength to post again tomorrow night and tell you how I faired. :)
