How Juice Fasting Helps in Weight Loss

Weight loss is a much discussed topic today and it's not difficult to get information on ways to lose weight. You can easily find many weight loss program that promise overnight results but very few which actually work. One of most effective techniques for weight loss is juice fasting. Fresh juice has great health benefits and is one of the preferred drinks among health enthusiasts. Doctors and health experts have recently discovered that juice fasting is a great way to stay healthy and lose weight. Fresh juices also help to improve body immunity and its regular intake helps the body stay healthy and energetic. 

Fresh juice prepared from various fruits and vegetables is rich in essential nutrients required by our body. For example Orange juice is a rich source of Vitamin C and Carrot juice is rich in beta carotene and vitamins A and B. When you drink a glass fresh juice it almost instantly rejuvenates and energizes the body as the vitamins and nutrients directly reach the blood stream and are utilized by our body.

Role of fresh juices in weight loss
Fresh juices provide all essential nutrients and vitamins which help in proper functioning of human body. When you eat fresh fruits and vegetables you get all these vitamins and nutrients but also get carbohydrates and sugar which get converted into fats. When you take fresh juices you get only the nutrients and vitamins which are beneficial for our body. If your body needs extra it utilizes the extra fat stored in the body which helps in weight loss. Vegetables juices such as celery, carrot, kale, spinach and beets and fruit juices such as pineapple, cranberry and pomegranate are some of the most recommended fresh juices for weight loss.

Planning a juice fast
You need to plan a juice fast at least a week in advance. You will need to purchase a juicer, if you don't have one to prepare fresh juices at home. You will need to completely eliminate alcohol, sugar, and carbohydrate from your diet a week before juice fasting. This will allow your body systems to prepare for the fast. Most juice fasts last 2-3 days and you should have sufficient stock of fresh fruits and vegetables before starting it. If you feel exhausted or unwell during the fast you should immediately end it. You should be careful not to eat a huge meal right after a juice fast and start with small meals like steamed vegetables and rice.

Juice fasting is an effective and healthy way to lose weight, but you should always consult a doctor before starting it.
