If your child wants to know some things they can do to earn some money, there are some great ideas you can offer to your child. If they already collect an allowance, but are just not satisfied with that, you can have them do an array of other things to put some extra cash in their pockets. If you don't have the funds to pay them extra money yourself, there are still ways that they can make some extra income for themselves.

One option is to ask around the neighborhood, and see what your neighbors may need done around the house. You may be surprised with what they can come up with. They may request that your child assist them with gardening, taking out trash, sweeping or blowing off the driveway, or maybe even mowing the lawn for them. These little chores can add up to a significant amount of cash in a short time, giving your child a true feeling of accomplishment, while also teaching them work ethics.

If you do have some available extra funds, you could always have them do some extra chores over and beyond their normal duties, such as helping with yard work, or cleaning out coat closets. This can be a great idea because the both of you will gain something from this method!

Another thing your child may want to know is how kids can make money online. This may not be an option, but if it is, there are some great choices out there that can earn your kid some great extra cash. They can set up a blog and use an affiliate program, sell their unwanted belongings on an online auction site, or maybe even do online surveys to make money.

So as you can see there is many things your child can do to earn money beyond their allowance earnings. Teaching children how kids make money can also teach them a lot about being responsible now, so they will one day become responsible adults. It will give them a sense of the true value of money, and that money is not easily obtained, and that it must be worked for.
