How Long Do I Have To Wait For Lipo After Childbirth

By Edited Dec 20, 2015 0 0

If you plan on having another child, then you should not opt to have lipo after pregnancy. If you do not intent on having any more children then you can go ahead and plan to have a lip surgery done. If you do happen to get pregnant after your lipo procedure, once you have the babe and get back to your post lipo weight, then the lipo results will continue to show. It is not a deal breaker if you get pregnant after lipo, however you should wait until you are done having children to get optimum results.

If you are specifically getting lipo done to help help with excess fat caused by your pregnancy, then consult with a plastic surgeon because you may have better results by simply getting a traditional tummy tuck. If you insist on getting lipo done then you can usually do it within 2-3 months of giving birth, however you will get much better results if you wait 8-12 months. These are estimated times to get the lipo done, and you need to consult with your plastic surgeon for more personal guidance about how long after childbirth you should wait until you opt for the lip surgery in order to get the results you want.

After your pregnancy you should continue to exercise and eat healthy, Liposuction is not an alternative to exercising and eating healthy.

Liposuction, also called lipoplasty, can help you return to your pre-pregnancy body by removing deposits of fat. Lipoplasty can also help you psychologically overcome any hesitations you have about your body shape which can be emotionally draining and lead to depression.

A liposuction procedure is very common and more women are getting these medical procedures done each year. If you are suffering from cancer, mesothelioma, or other major medical condition then the plastic surgeon will probably not allow you to get the liposuction procedure performed. If you are generally in a healthy condition then contact a plastic surgeon for a consultation and learn if lipo is the right procedure for you, and if it is how long you should wait after childbirth to get a the fat sucked out of your stomach.
