The cost can go even higher in case there is any structural damage to the furniture or walls. This cost will depend on the amount of damage done but can be in anywhere above $10,000.

Apart from the mold remediation cost, there are other costs involved in getting the mold removed from your house. This includes the cost of inspection of the mold. You will need to hire a mold inspection contractor or a company to inspect the kind of mold present in your house. Some companies provide this service for free in case you give them the contract for mold removal.

Another cost could be of plumbing. In case there is any plumbing work required like repairing the roof or fixing the drainage system, it will require extra cost. In case the mold is toxic in nature, then you will need to vacate the house till the time mold is removed. This will incur extra cost in the form of hotels or moving costs.
