How To Apply Face Foundation

By Edited May 8, 2015 0 0

Foundation that is packaged in a tube or pump dispenser is quickly becoming very popular, this is because once the foundation is used it can't go back into its container, like it can with more traditional foundations. This is going to reduce the risk of contamination with your other skin products and help to reduce spots and blemishes from appearing on to your face.

If you have got mature or dry skin a cream to powder foundation will be a good choice for you. This is because it is applied as a creamy rich moisturizer and dries to a velvety matt finish that looks fantastic. Plus it allows long lasting coverage which is not going to rub off easily during the day, like you see happening with more traditional based foundations.

A good facial foundation tip is to not be too heavy handed when applying your moisturizer, because if you are your skin is going to be more prone to streaking once you start applying your foundation. The best way to do it, is to applying a light layer of moisturizer to your face. Just enough to make sure that your skin is well moisturized and hydrated, then you need to wait ten minutes before you start applying your colors and foundation products.

If you are looking for a fantastic sheer to medium finish that is going to look great during the day. Try using liquid foundations. This is because they are easy to apply and will last all day without looking too heavy and getting into the fine lines on your skin. A good tip is to always shake the bottle first to ensure that the contents are going to be evenly distributed. Start off by applying the liquid foundation to the center of your face using your finger tips in a light dabbing motion gently moving and blending in the foundation in an outwards direction.

If you are looking for a lighter skin look, try mixing your daily moisturizing cream with your foundation into the palm of your hand, mixing together and applying to your face. There you have it a fantastic homemade tinted moisturizer that is going to give you a lighter more tinted look.
