By | Feb 13, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Once you are in a public hospital you are not safe from bacteria infections. There are steps everyone should take to avoid bacteria infections in a public hospital and this article will guide you on how to do it.

Things You Will Need

To follow the guidelines listed in this article on how to avoid bacteria infections in a public hospital.

Step 1

The first step to avoid bacteria infections in a public hospital is to ask anyone who will be examining you to wash their hands before they begin. Not every person in a public hospital washes their hands every single time they should, and all it takes is forgetting once to spread bacteria infections.

Step 2

The second step to avoiding bacteria infections in a public hospital is to ask your doctor(or anyone who will be using a stethoscope) to wash it before they use it on your body. A stethoscope can come in contact with a lot of people, and if it is not cleaned properly it can house germs which can cause bacteria infections.

Step 3

The third step to avoid getting bacteria infections in a public hospital is to make sure that your doctor's tie does not come in contact with your body. If your doctor's tie has been in contact with many patients in the hospital it can have a large number of germs on it and it could pass them to you and lead to bacteria infections. Politely ask your doctor to put his tie over his shoulder(his lab coat will keep the tie in place on his shoulder so it does not come in contact with you).
