But is it now? Well, the answer depends with you but I am going to show you how you can easily avoid gaining unwanted weight during festive seasons or holidays.
Avoid Gaining Weight Over The Holidays By Eating Before Going Out
If you are headed out, say for dinner or any other party, then it is advisable that you eat before you go out. It might sound a bit crazy, I mean, why should you try and eat first before you go out? Isn’t it wasteful given the fact that there’s food where you are going to?
Well, that’s exactly the point, since you are trying to avoid gaining weight especially during the festive season, then going to a party or dinner when you are hungry will only make you eat more, and this is exactly what we are trying to avoid.
Now, when you eat a healthy meal that is mainly composed of nutritious fiber, then you are bound to feel a bit full when you are at the dinner or party hence you are less likely eat a lot at the party or dinner that you are attending.
Share Your Desert With Someone At The Party
I love my desert no doubt about that, but the earlier I learned that desert doesn’t love me back as much as I love it, I too decided to show it as little love as it showed me and that was by eating as little of it as possible.
Of course it can be hard to control yourself once you start digging into that ice cream, cake or your favorite dessert, almost everyone has trouble with this but I found out a simple solution to this problem; sharing. That’s correct, when you share your desert with someone else, not only are you able satisfy your craving for desert, but also you end up with not taking too much calories. You should try it, it works fine for me all the time.
Keep Your Body Hydrated
Some of the things that I do to keep extra pounds of my body is by keeping my body hydrated. When your body is dehydrated, you are more likely to confuse this with being hungry and thus likely to eat more in an attempt to satisfy your cravings.
A well hydrated body is also good for your organs especially the kidneys and the water also works to flush out fat that is broken down by your body. I can go on forever about how and why you should keep your body hydrated but I will cover more on that in my article on water therapy.
Lemon Water Can Help You Lose Weight
Some of you might have heard about how lemon water can help you lose weight and how effective it can be at that, but for those of us who don’t know, lemons can help you lose weight by simply squeezing two or three lemon fruits in a glass of water.
The secret behind lemon water weight loss is that it has an alkalizing effect to the body that is, it alkalizes your body. Studies have shown that a body that is more alkaline has a better chance of losing weight than a body that is acidic.
But wait a second, isn’t lemon a citrus plant and therefore acidic? Yes it is a citrus plant and it is acidic in nature but the acid present in lemon is weak citric acid which is easily broken down by the juices in your stomach hence allowing the remainder of the lemon to alkalize the body.

The water should be warm and not hot as hot water is bound to destroy the vitamins and other minerals found in the fruit.

What does TV have to do with weight loss? Well it has everything and nothing to do with it depending on how you look at it. For starters, most people associate watching TV with eating and they just can’t stop themselves from eating something or anything while they are glued to their screens. It would either be a tab of ice cream, popcorns or their favorite snacks.
One way to avoid this is to keep of the TV as much as possible by taking time to go out and exercise, meet new people and talk to that neighbor that you have been avoiding all year.
