Learn How To Be A Better Husband And Improve Your Marriage In A Day!

How To Be A Better Husband

I think most married men come to a point sometime in their marriage where they wonder how to be a better husband. It's not that there's anything wrong with you or your marriage, but marriage can become routine and the romantic things that you do for your wife may start to be come familiar. Here are a few quick and actionable tips that will teach you how to be a better husband today.

1. Leave Love Notes Around The House

All you need for this is a post-it pad and a pen. Write out a dozen or so things that you love about your wife and post them in places where she will find them throughout the day. Inside her closet, inside the dryer door, on a remote or in the crisper drawer of the fridge are all great places. Your wife will be reminded all day of how much you love her and this can earn you major brownie points!

2. Come Home With Flowers

This is the standard "good husband" thing to do but can be forgotten in everyday life. It is however, the first thing I suggest when somebody asks how to be a better husband. I don't know a woman who has ever gotten tired of her man bringing her flowers. Give it a try on a day when she doesn't expect it, and not just to say sorry for doing something wrong!

3. Plan A Date

Most married couples do not keep a regular date night. Plan a surprise date for your wife and bring her to a nice restaurant, and then a movie, walk along the water and maybe even a night in a hotel. If you want your wife to feel that there's still spark in your relationship and that you think of her planning a surprise date is a great way to show her. Do something fun that she wouldn't typically expect. If you usually go out for Mexican food, switch it up and maybe go out for Thai, or to a steak house.

4. Open Her Door

The gentleman inside you is still there right? Chivalry isn't dead and women still love having doors opened for them. The car, the house or the hotel, make a point to pull open the door for your wife no matter where you are, she will love it!

5. Ask Your Wife How You Are Doing

This is huge for anybody wanting to learn how to be a better husband. Many of us men are proud creatures and are content thinking that we have things figured out and don't need any outside input. If you could use improvement somewhere, nobody will know better than your wife. Tell her that you want to improve and ask what you could do to be a better husband to her, nobody will know better than her what she needs. This can be difficult and sometimes humbling but will put you on the right track to a happy, healthy marriage.

Try these things today and see what a difference a little extra effort can make in your marriage. Learning how to be a better husband is simple. Women really notice the small things and want to know that you think about them when you're not around. If you have any other tips feel free to leave them in the comment section.

This is the truth. I have been married for 8 years and I believe that after awhile you either want out or want to be a better husband. I know I have wondered from time to time how I was doing. It seems easier as our relationship grows to forget to leave love notes and do sweet things for my wife. I know that is one of the reasons she fell in love with me in the first place. Nice article!

Thanks for the comment onenewvoice. I agree with what you said, it's important to keep on top of the things that won us the girl in the first place!
