How To Build Backlinks Properly

By Edited Nov 13, 2013 3 8

If you are interested in knowing how to build backlinks properly, here are some things that you should keep in mind while doing so. There are right ways to build backlinks and then there are wrong ways. Some people think that you can build backlinks through spamming them. Sometimes this will work, but it will more than likely give you problems in the long run. The best way to build backlinks is to do a certain amount per day using a certain amount of different resources. The more resources that you use and the more unique you can make your backlink, the higher the chances that they will get accepted as a backlink in the search engines and the faster that they will get indexed.

If you can get other people to spread your link around, the better. The more unique the IP of the person who posts the link the better as well because this is going to make it look like they are being spread by different people. If you want to build backlinks properly, you should not do more than about 15 per day. This is an optimal amount of backlinks to build without getting them caught by the spam filters of the search engines. When you post 15 a day using different resources, different ips and different anchor texts, you are just about guaranteed to get 100 percent acceptance rate by the search engines. You could probably even do more than this if you use the above mentioned techniques. The more links that you get the easier it is to get traffic and get ranked in the search engines.

Directories are a great way to build backlinks, but you always have to make sure that you submit them at a good rate so that you can avoid duplicate content issues as well. No matter where you post and how you post, try and make your backlinks unique. Another good idea is to make sure that you can post relevant backlinks that have something to do with your site or anchor text, or keyword. Also make sure that you post on sites with good page rank. The higher the page rank, the better. Also make sure that the majority of your backlinks are do-follow backlinks. No-follow still work, from my experience, but you are better off getting do-follow backlinks for Google and other search engines who have made no-follow backlinks hard to get page rank from.

Always thought back links were links I posted onto my website. I get it now. The more directories I submit my URL to the better. Thank you.

The term backlinks can be confusing. It was for me the first time I hear what it was. You're getting a one-way link "back" to your own site, but you have to plug your site onto another's to do that. That's where the commenting, directory submission, other sites, come in.
