Low self-confidence affects negatively on many things you do, and it has a great impact on how others perceive you. If you don't have self-confidence it will be seen.

Then, how to build self-confidence in yourself and feel that you are an important, loved person?

Recognize The Reasons Behind Your Feelings

It is extremely important to understand the reasons behind your insecurities and be aware of why you feel uncomfortable about yourself. Write down everything that makes you feel unworthy or ashamed and ponder what can you do about them.

Many these things are not reasons to be ashamed of and even if they are you can work on doing something about them. If you just let things be you are only going to hurt yourself.

Talk With Your Friends And/Or Family About It

Talking with your loved ones is a great way to boost your self-confidence. Many times we just believe things about ourselves that are not even true. You need to learn to believe in yourself and your loved ones can help you with it.

If you keep it all to yourself, it is very stressful and can even make things worse.

Take Care of Yourself

By taking care of yourself you will learn to understand that you are an important person. Wear clean clothes, bath and shave frequently. If you look like you don't take care of yourself or don't care at all how you look, it will instantly impact on your self-confidence.

Know Your Strengths And Be Proud Of Them

Everyone is good at something! Know your strong points and instead of pondering all the negative things about yourself, focus on what you are good at and strengthen those things even more. You should be proud about the things you have accomplished.

Be Friendly And Help Others

If you are friendly and help others on their problems, it will definitely make you feel better. If you are a good person, you have less reasons to hate yourself. This will also affect positively on your relationships with other people, since they too know that you are a great person.

Accept Compliments

Really, you should accept compliments when you hear them. Instead of saying “I don't think I am that great” say “Thank you!” and smile. People don't compliment others for no reason, and you should feel good about compliments rather than think that you don't deserve them.

Have The Courage To be Yourself

There is no point in trying to be someone who you are not. If you fake things, people are going to notice it sooner or later anyways and it is not going to boost your self-confidence at all. Be yourself, and more importantly be proud that you are you.

Understand That Nobody Is perfect

No one is perfect, we all make mistakes and we all have things that we don't like about ourselves. You must face the reality and understand that in life there are things that we can't do and there are ups and downs. Don't blame yourself every time something goes wrong.

Don't Be Afraid To Speak Up

When you are with people, don't be afraid to speak with them. Many times in conversion some are afraid to say things because they are afraid that people will judge them from saying something stupid or strange.

People are more willing to understand each other than many of us know. Think about it – do you judge people only if they say something funny?
