Information is the new currency of the 21st Century. Just about every
scrap of data is on the web one way or the other. But, not all internet
sites are commercial in nature. More and more families and clubs are
building small compact specialty sites. At the end of this article you
will be able to create your own free website using Google Sites .
Let's begin by logging into your own Google account. Or, this is how to create a Google account if you don't have one already.
On the top menu select MORE, then select SITES. You will have to fill
in the usual information to register. There will be the obligatory
confirmation email sent your way as well. Go ahead and read then check
the boxes to accept Google Sites terms of service. You are now ready to
create your Google Site.
Tip: Google is very particular about their TOS. Violation will get your site shut down.
To create your homepage you need to pick a general theme and select all the appropriate options.

Add your content using the built in editor. You can use it as a WYSIWYG (RTF) editor or you can use it as a direct HTML editor.

Continue adding pages by selecting "create new page". Add your own
content the same way you did above. Pages will fall into a natural
heirearchy as each is the child of the one "above" it.
Tip: Deleting the "parent" also deletes the "child".
Finally, don't forget to save your page by selecting "save". If you close out with unsaved changes they are lost forever.
That's all there is to it. Your new site is up and on it's way. Enjoy your spot on the web and thanks for reading.
Tip: selecting on each photo will enlarge it. And these photos are all available to view at FLIKR
