How To Choose Deodorant
Things You Will Need
An interest in all facets of how to buy deodorant, including aluminum risks, clinical strength deodorants, and cost.Step 1 When you want to buy deodorant, it helps to learn more about aluminum zirconium. People fear that it may cause Alzheimer’s disease and or breast cancer. So, are these fears based on a myth or on reality? Well, the short answer to that question is that the jury is still out because more research needs to be conducted in both areas. The fear is based on the idea that the deodorant covers the lymph nodes located in the armpits, causing a build up of toxins in the system that can lead to the development of either breast cancer or Alzheimer’s disease or possibly even both. The argument certainly sounds compelling and believable when you first hear it, but so far researchers have not been able to establish a causal link between deodorant use (or aluminum zirconium) and breast cancer or Alzheimer’s disease. There may be a link between having too much aluminum in the blood and diseases such as breast cancer or Alzheimer’s, (though deodorant would likely not be the sole cause of this problem in most people). But once again, much more research needs to be conducted to find out. If, after reading everything you can get your hands on about aluminum zirconium you decide that you do want to avoid it, the good news is that it is possible to buy aluminum-free deodorant.
Step 2 If you want to buy deodorant that is clinical strength in order to prevent excessive perspiration or odor, you may want to investigate some over the counter deodorants designed to serve this purpose.
Step 3 When you want to buy deodorant, another concern may be the cost. It’s worth noting that aluminum-free deodorants and clinical strength deodorants both tend to cost a bit more than traditional deodorants, perhaps because they may cost somewhat more to produce, so the manufacturers pass that added cost along to their customers.
Maybe you have never felt the need to give this much thought to the subject of how to choose or buy deodorant, but it’s always good to consider the different health, odor protection, and financial aspects of any buying decision, including your decision to buy deodorant of one kind or another.
