Elmo's World

If your child is an Elmo fan then he or she would love a room theme of Elmo. Here are some tips to help you make your little one's own version of Elmo's World.

Sesame Street is probably one of the most favorite children's TV programs of all time. Who can forget Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Grover, Snuffleupagus, Count von Count, Oscar the Grouch, Ernie and Bert, the Honkers, and of course, Elmo.

Elmo is one of the most popular

Sesame Street
characters. He is a three-year-old red monster that is very cute and adorable. This makes him a favourite not just among kids but also with parents.

Because of his popularity, many parents want to decorate their children's bedrooms with Elmo. And if you want to do the same thing, here are some tips on how to decorate your child's room with Elmo.

  • The first thing that you should think about is the color scheme. If you want to have an Elmo's World theme, you can have red as the base color of the room. But if you decide to decorate your child's room with other characters as well, you can use the primary colors blue, red, and yellow. You can paint the wall one color and paint the furniture in the other two colors. Or you can have stripes or polka dots. Just make sure that it is fun and interesting.
  • For the furniture, you should consider an Elmo bed with Elmo's face as the headboard. Or if you have a plain bed, you can just paint it with a primary color and choose bed sheets, comforters, and pillow cases with Elmo or
    Sesame Street
designs. You can also choose an Elmo table with Elmo's face as the surface. For the closet, just paint it using a primary color and stick Elmo's face on the door.
  • You can also decorate the walls with framed Elmo coloring pages. Make sure that your child colored the pages himself. You should also place your child's photos, holding Elmo, on the wall using colourful frames in different shapes and sizes. Place them strategically on the wall. You can include your child's pictures as he grows up form the day he was born up to his latest photo.
  • If you want to decorate your child's bedroom using other characters from
    Sesame Street
, you can use a trashcan that looks like Oscar the Grouch's famous trash can. Your child can use it as storage or bin where he can put toys. You can also choose a Cookie Monster rug or a Big Bird curtain. You can include other characters aside from Elmo to make it more interesting.
  • Collect small Elmo toys and line them up on a wall shelf. This will make an interesting wall décor in your child's bedroom. You can also collect other characters. To make the room feel like
    Sesame Street
, you can display the famous
    Sesame Street
sign with a light post near the door.
  • Another tip is to make a wall mural depicting one famous scene in
    Sesame Street
or Elmo's World. If you have artistic skills, then you can do it yourself. But if not, you can ask a friend who is more talented to do it for you.

Add an Elmo Flashlight to make your child safe if the power should go off during the night in their Elmo's World. And if your child is young they may need the help of Elmo's Alphabet Bus to learn their ABCs.

Everyone can have fun with loveable, laughable Elmo.
