How To Define Your Eyebrows

A well groomed eyebrow is the finishing touch to a perfect makeup routine. Have you ever noticed how some women can have on perfectly applied mascara, foundation, and lipstick and still look a little unfinished? Well, more likely then not, the critical step they forgot was to fill in and groom their eyebrows. Defining your eyebrows is one of the great secrets to a glamorous makeover. This one easy step is simple to do and takes just seconds. Here's how you can define your eyebrows so they look neat, even, and natural.

First, you will need to gather your makeup and brushes. To define your eyebrows, you will need a mascara wand or eyebrow comb, a flat eyeliner brush, and eyeshadow or eyebrow powder that matches your hair color.

Start by brushing out your eyebrows with the mascara wand or eyebrow comb. Start by brushing the hairs straight up and then brushing them along the shape of your eyebrow arch. Next you'll want to put on your eyeshadow or eyebrow powder with your flat tipped brush. Use just a bit of powder, a swipe on each side of the brush is all you need.

Remember, you want to use a light touch to get a natural look. Using too much powder or smudging the powder into your skin will make your eyebrows look harsh and unnatural. A good way to make sure you have the right amount is to brush off the excess on your hand first. Use short strokes following the individual hairs. You want to mimic the look of the individual hairs. Do not draw in your eyebrows in a single stroke. Try to apply the eyebrow powder only to the hairs, not to the skin. This will keep your eyebrows from looking like they are drawn in.

Finally, you can finish off your brows with your mascara wand. Just run the mascara wand through your eyebrows to get rid of excess powder and to soften the line of demarcation between your eyebrows and your skin. You should notice that the patchy areas of your eyebrows have filled in and now blend with your natural eyebrow hairs.

This simple makeup tip will work for most women who just have small sparse areas to fill in their eyebrows. If your eyebrows are uneven, poorly shaped, or over plucked, then you will need to use something like Librow that will help regrow your eyebrows. No amount of eyebrow powder or eyeshadow can replace your own natural eyebrows. Using too much eyebrow powder or tattooing your eyebrows on will only look fake and draw even more attention to your problem areas.
