By | Feb 4, 2010 | 1 Comments | Rating: 0

Sandwich shops are convenient and they offer some healthy food options. They also offer some choices that are not so healthy, and if you are not careful you can quickly make your sandwich loaded with fat and calories. This article will guide you on how to eat healthy in sandwich shops.

Things You Will Need

To closely follow the guidelines listed in this article on how to eat healthy in sandwich shops

Step 1

The first step to eating healthy in sandwich shops is to avoid any creamy dressings that come on sandwiches. These dressings can taste very good, but they are typically loaded with fat and calories and can make your sandwich unhealthy.

Step 2

The second step to eating healthy in sandwich shops is to order oil and vinegar on your sandwiches. Oil and vinegar has beneficial fats and is not loaded with calories. To cut down the unhealthy fat content and calories(such as in mayonnaise) order your sandwich with a little oil and vinegar on it.

Step 3

The third step to eating healthy in sandwich shops is to order all your sandwiches on whole wheat bread. The standard grinder roll that comes with most sandwiches is really white bread that is loaded with starch and refined carbohydrates which are not healthy at all. Even if you get a healthy sandwich if it is made on this bread it is not good for you. Make sure you order your sandwich on a whole wheat roll instead.
