How To Get Stronger Muscles

Having strong muscles is good for your overall health. Stronger muscles help you lose weight because the muscles in your body burn 15 times more calories than fat does. Strong muscles also help keep pressure off your joints.

Step 1

Workout Routine

Develop a workout routine. Come up with a plan for each day of the week. For each day, assign a set of weight lifting exercises that you will do. Don't forget to include days for rest in your routine so that your body can recover.

As you start your routine start to think about goals. Once you get the feel for your current strength levels determine how many reps you want to be able to do for each weight. Goals will help you get stronger muscles because you will have something to shoot for.

Step 2

Weight Training

Weight training is the best way to get stronger muscles. Lift weights as a part of your normal workout routine. Bench Press and bicep curls are the most common exercises at the gym but you need a complete weight training program to build a proportioned and healthy body.

Step 3

Train your core muscles.

Don't forget about those small and core muscle groups. Its important to do your sit-ups, leg lifts, pull-ups and back extensions to build strong core muscles. Developing your core muscles will prevent injury and allow your main muscle groups to get stronger.

Step 4

Eat Protein.

Protein builds muscle and you need to eat protein so that your body has what it needs to make you stronger. Take a protein shake within 30 minutes of finishing your workout.

Step 5

Track your progress

When you setup your workout routine you should established some goals. To reach your goals you need to track your progress. Write down how you did each day and track the increases in your strength training.

Wanting stronger muscles is not vain, it's healthy. Start by establishing a routine you will follow and set some goals. Use proper form during your weight training to avoid injury and don't forget to work your core muscles. Eating protein will give your body the fuel it needs to grow your muscles and make them stronger. Resting in between workouts is key because it is during this time that your muscles heal and actually grow and get stronger. And don't forget to track your progress so that you stay motivated. Stronger muscles lead to better health.
