How To Listen To Your Ipod In The Car

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

Your Ipod holds thousands of songs. Your cars CD player, maybe 12 a disk. So it would seem a better alternative to be able to listen to your Ipod in your car right? A FM IPod Transmitter will allow you to do this and it will keep your battery fully charged on your Ipod

There are a couple of models of Ipod FM Transmitters but my personal favorite is the kind that plug into your cars cigarette lighter and have a base that hold on to your Ipod. They can be used with most models of Ipods except the Ipod shuffle. Some of these come with remote controls, some don't. I've owned a few of the 5 in 1 Car Ipod players and only have had to replace because of my own negligence. Allowing a 3 year old to play with it, not a good idea...

How To Set Up The Ipod FM Transmitter In Your Car

The Ipod car adapter plugs into the car cigarette lighter
The Ipod plugs into the transmitter
The Ipod car kit is tuned to one of 4FM radio stations using knobs on the side.
Your car radio is set to the same FM channel.

Thats it. You will be able to hear your Ipod songs out of your Ipod. You will change the songs on your Ipod but the volume is controlled by your radio.

  • Set one of your radio stations to match your Ipod Transmitter channel so that whenever you want to listen to it, you just need to plug in the Ipod and push the right button.
  • The Ipod car adapter charges your Ipod while its plugged in. No worries to charge before leaving.
Ipod FM Transmitter Sound Quality

The sound quality is comparable to what your CD's sound like when playing in your car. But the quality is also going to be dependant on the interference or lack there of on the radio station you are using. There are 4 FM channels to choose from, try though them till you find one that plays the Ipod with the best clarity.
