Everyone knows that chicken is one of the best meals for you. It is less fattening than steak or hamburgers. Thankfully there are many different recipes that you can use with chicken. Bacon and cheese stuffed chicken is just one of them. This recipe is sure to serve a family of 4. Even your picky eaters will find this meal delicious.

Things You Will Need

A stick of butter

Less than one large container of blue cheese dressing

A half package of bacon

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

Step 1

First, use a microwavable safe bowl to melt 1 stick of butter. While some people do not like using the microwave or don't own one because of the EMF's that are produced from it. Some will melt their butter on the stove in a pan or saucer for safety reasons. Once melted, combine the butter and 3 ounces of blue cheese in a large bowl.

Step 2

Next, cook the package of bacon on the stove and set aside to cool. Crush at least one clove of garlic and place into the blue cheese and butter bowl. Once the bacon has cooled, crumble it all into the large bowl and stir together all of the ingredients.

Step 3

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Step 4

Thinly cut a slice each chicken breast large enough to pour your blue cheese mixture inside. Be sure not to cut all the way through so the dressing doesn't leak out of the bottom.

Step 5

Once the oven is preheated, place your 4 chicken breasts into the oven. Cook your chicken for 15 minutes and take out of the oven. Now is the best time to season your chicken with salt and pepper. Many times people will add other seasonings for more of a flavor. You have the choice to add what herbs and spices you desire. Many people will use a chicken rub or garlic powder to add even more of a garlic flavor.

Step 6

Cook for another 15-20 minutes making sure that the chicken cooks all the way through. When the outside is browned, this usually means that the chicken has been thoroughly cooked. To be sure, cut a small piece off and make sure it is not pink in the middle. You will know the chicken is done when it is white. Any pink in the middle indicates that your chicken should be placed in the oven for a little bit longer.

Step 7

Top your chicken with any remaining blue cheese if you desire.

This is a great meal that can be served for dinner with a different variety of vegetables. Broccoli, corn or carrots are great choices that taste great with this meal. Asparagus is also a good vegetable to try as it goes great with blue cheese. It is important to teach your family to eat healthy. They will be sure to thank you in the future.
