If you are unsure of how to make French toast, let me show you a quick and simple way to make the most delicious toast you ever had.   French toast can be sum up in four words “fried egg-soaked bread”.  Amazing, in France, French toast is called Pain perdu “lost bread” because they use stale bread and soften them by adding milk and eggs then they fry the soaked toast.  French toast also goes by many different names depending on where you are located. For example, in Asian countries, its call western toast, in a few European countries it is call “Arme Ritter(poor knight)”.  Depends on the countries, French toast can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a dessert. In America it is usually consider a breakfast food, but in France it’s a dessert. Let us start making some French toast!

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of slice bread (the older the better)
  • Half a dozen eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon

Step by Step Instruction below:

  1. Mix the eggs (beaten) and vanilla extract with the cinnamon and milk.
  2. Soak the slice bread in the mix.
  3. Fry the bread in the pan until the side is golden brown, repeat for the other side.
  4. Serve the French toast with your favorite topping such as syrup, confectioners sugar, or fruits.
