Step 1

Finding a blender.
The great thing about green smoothies is that you can make them with just about any blender. You don't need a fancy juicer, in fact a basic blender works better. With a juicer, you lose a lot of the fibre but with a blender it all stays right there.

Choosing ingredients.
The basic ingredients for a green smoothie are Spinach and Bananas. The portions are usually about half and half but you can change the ratio depending on how sweet you want it. If there are other things you'd like to add then give it a try and see how it tastes. To keep the nutritional benefits of the smoothie though, try to add only raw natural foods like fruits, vegetables, nuts or seeds. I like to throw in a table spoon on chia seeds. It adds alot of protein and healthy omega 3 fatty acids.

Step 3

Get Blending.

Throw everything in the blender and add water until you get the consistency you're looking for. About 1 cup of water should be enough. I find it easiest to put the water in first and get the blender running then add the ingredients one at a time. This will prevent your blender from getting bogged down with too much food at the start.

The great thing about green smoothies is that they are a really quick and easy way to make a very nutritious and delicious meal. The cleanup is very easy and the ingredients are cheap.
