So you desire yourself a low carb pizza dough? This is quite the admirable goal, seeing as a low carb diet is a great step to reducing your weight or just plain old eating healthier. Since I myself desired a low carb pizza dough i went and experimented, just for you. Here are the results of my experiments:

Things You Will Need

1 3/4 cups of White Flour 1 cup Soy Flour 1/2 cup Flaxseed Meal 1 package active dry yeast 1 teaspoon sugar 1 cup warm water 1 T salt *Note: This recipe gives you 3 pizza dough crusts.

Step 1

In your mixer, put the package of dry yeast, warm water, and sugar and mix it all together. Once this mixture gets frothy you go ahead and add the rest of the ingredients. Turn the mixer on low and let the ingredients integrate, then you give it the low carb pizza dough the spurs and let it go until the dough gathers itself around the bread hook. This will take 4 to 6 minutes depending on how things go.

Step 2

Then you turn this low carb pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface and let it rise for approximately an hour. Near the last 20 minutes of the rise you should set your oven for 500 degrees. Once the dough has risen at least once you then separate it into three pieces, after the dough has been separated you then roll it out to your desired thickness. Place the dough on either a cookie sheet or a pizza stone and into the oven for around 12 to 15 minutes. This pizza dough may also be mixed in a bread machine. All you have to do is dump the ingredients in and turn it on, my favorite machine for the job is the Zojirushi bread machine.
