How To Make Money On The Internet With Affiliate Programs

By Edited Oct 19, 2015 1 0

Learning how to make money on the Internet is not as hard as many people would lead you to believe. However, it does require effort to be successful and requires more work than others would have you believe. If you truely want to learn how to make money on the Internet, I'll show you a simple way using affiliate programs.

First off, you'll need to research some affiliate programs and find a product or service that you'd like to tell others about. One of the easiest ways to make money on the Internet is to write honest reviews on products or services that you have bought. People trust reviews if they're honestly written and will buy from you. People are also quick to see through phony reviews and leave your site without clicking on anything.

One great place to find something to review is Amazon. I'm sure you can find several related products to start your own review site. It could be anything from Kitchen products to carpet care. It doesn't matter as long as you're familiar with the product and you can write an honest review that others will believe.

Once you have a few related products, then you can start thinking about buying a domain name for your review site. This is how you make a great affiliate site. You build the site around the product, not the other way around.

Now that you have something to sell and a domain name, you'll need hosting for your domain name. Nearly any host will work. I like HostGator and BlueHost but any other host such as DreamHost, HostMonster and MidPhase are also great choices.

Next, I would strongly urge you to install WordPress and use it as your site. WordPress is a blogging platform but with just a few tweaks, it will make an excellent review type website for your needs. It's easy to use and easy to implement the changes you'll need. Most hosting companies will have one click installation for WordPress in the Control Panel.

When you get your website up and going, you can add pictures of yourself and the product or service that you will be reviewing. People are visual and love to see pictures of what you're talking about.

Once you've posted a few reviews (I recommend at least five to start with) you can start promoting your website. Visit forums and blogs that are relevant to what you're reviewing. If you're reviewing Kitchen Utensils, don't go to a Auto forum and start posting links. This is not only unrelated to your website but it's considered spamming and you won't be doing yourself any favors. Only visit related websites and take the time to really interact with the people. You'll build trust this way and you'll soon find out that the traffic to your site is increasing each week.

Next you should consider article marketing. This is simply writing short articles and submitting them to article directories. This not only gets the word out about your website, which in turns brings in traffic, but it will help you site move up in the search engine rankings. This too will bring in more visitors.

This is not a short term project. Learning how to make money on the Internet is an ongoing business model. It may take you as long as 3 to 6 months to make your first dollar, but once you do it teds to keep coming in month after month!
