How To Make Window Tinting Cheaper

By Edited Jul 28, 2016 0 0

If you are like a lot of people, then you like the way windows look when they are tinted. The reason most people like the way windows look when they are tinted is because the light is not as bright, you don’t have to worry about people looking at you all the time and the tint actually prolongs the glass itself. If you want to make sure that your windows last as long as possible, then applying a layer or tint on the glass is the best way to go about doing it.

Now, since tinting windows is not the cheapest thing to do, I have some solutions to make it cheaper on you. The first thing that you need to understand is that you don’t have to hire somebody to come and tint your windows, you can do it yourself. There are a lot of books and websites out there that will show you exactly how to tint windows. Whether you are tinting residential windows or windows on your car, it is done the same way.

Ways To Make Window Tinting Cheaper

Buy The Tint Yourself – One way to save money is to buy the tint yourself. A lot of companies will increase the price of the tint, so buying it yourself will actually save you an extra 10-15%. One thing that I would suggest is that you buy industrial grade tint because a lot of retail stores sell general window film which usually tears and rips rather easily.

Hire Off Duty Workers – Did you know that you can hire off-duty workers to come and install the tint for you? The best way to go about doing this is to go to a company that does tint and talk privately with one of the workers. All you have to do is ask for a phone number where you can call them on their own time to come and do it. The reason this is cheaper is because you pay them their price without adding in the price of the company they work for.

Ask Friend For Help – The last thing that I would suggest is that you ask a friend for some help. If you have a friend that knows how to apply tint, then ask them to come over for an afternoon and help. You can pay them with food and drinks, which will make your out-of-pocket expenses a lot less than what they could have been.

As you can see, it doesn’t take much to save money on tinting. Just make sure that you take your time if you plan on doing it yourself and if you want to hire it out, then it is a good idea to find the best person for the job.
