In this article, I'd like to share with you some of the best tips and tricks I've come across when it comes to making money on Infobarrel. For those of you that don't know what Infobarrel is, you're on it right now. It's a revenue sharing platform where you write articles and get a cut of the advertising revenue your articles generate.
Let's get back to the main idea of this article. How can you make your first dollar on here? It's simple really, once you're all signed up, you have 2 basic options. Option 1 is to write whatever you'd like to write about and write about whatever it is you know... Option 2 is to do some keyword research and SEO to write about topics that other people are interested in learning more about.
Although option 2 has been shown to be more profitable in most cases, I still prefer option 1 because at the end of the day, what's the point of writing articles if you don't even enjoy the topic you're writing about. One way around this is to hire someone to write the articles for you which could be very profitable.
So how exactly did I make my first dollar here on Infobarrel. I did several things really and you can do the same. I did a mixture of option 1 and option 2. So far, my highest earning article was written around a keyword with SEO in mind... but funnily enough, it doesn't appear in the first few pages of google results so I'm still confused about why it's earning me any money at all. That article accounts for almost 80% of the revenue I generated on here so far(since I began tracking with Analytics). The other 20% came from articles that I wrote around topics I just genuinely enjoy writing about.
I wrote about all kinds of things. For instance, I've written about tips on how to become wealthy. I've also written about special eco-events, my plans on how I'm going to create a stream of passive income through this site, reviews of get paid to sites like Opinion Outpost, internet begging, book/seminar reviews, etc... All of these examples have earned me a little bit of money this month, nothing substantial yet, but I haven't lost hope yet.
What I'm recommending you do to make your first dollar here on Infobarrel is to write about what you really care about first and foremost. As you write these articles, since you enjoy the topic, you'll really like the articles you create and this will make promoting them a lot easier. If you're passionate about the topic, you'll be proud to promote these articles anywhere you can think of. Remember, it's important to keep in mind that you shouldn't be blindly spamming the links to your articles anywhere you can think of. Be careful about this because it could get you into a lot of trouble. Do this thing the right way and you won't be disappointed with the results.
Another thing I'd recommend you do is to dig into keyword research and SEO and write some articles following this strategy too. I think it would be a good idea to invest equal amounts of time in writing about what you love vs. writing properly keyword researched articles. This will allow you to recognize which path is more profitable in terms of time invested. Another important thing to keep in mind is that you need to pay attention to how both this approaches to writing for Infobarrel make you feel. If keyword research and writing about topics you aren't necessarily passionate about makes you miserable, then it's time to switch gears and write about what you enjoy most...
If on the other hand, you're the type of person that can write a great article about any topic you find regardless of whether or not you are passionate about it... and if you can enjoy the process itself, then go for it! You are extremely lucky and can make A LOT of money on here while having a blast.
The key thing I would recommend if you're still struggling to make your first dollar here on Infobarrel is to write tons of articles using both approaches. Then give your articles a little while to work their magic and see which approach is earning you the most money and which approach you are enjoying best. Only then can you really come to a conclusion about how you should proceed here on Infobarrel.
Personally, I'm not the kind of person that can write articles about topics that don't even interest me at all... I enjoy keyword research but I don't enjoy not knowing what broad keywords to enter into my keyword tools. I enjoy writing but I don't enjoy writing about topics I know nothing about. Therefore, I've decided to do 2 things and this is something you can choose to do yourself in the future: a)I will only write articles I enjoy writing about, and b)I will hire others to write articles around keywords that I am not interested in but that can be profitable.
I wanted to get into outsourcing the article writing part a little here. Here is one great strategy I have concocted myself and am implementing as we speak. If you want to hire someone to write your articles for you while doing things the right way SEO and all... you're going to have to test the waters and see which article writer produces the best results. So, here what I recommend, be on the look out for any article writer that is offering a free review article with no strings attached just so you can evaluate their work. Find like a dozen of these or more - the more you find, the better. Get each individual writer to write you up an article around a specific keyword and give them a specific keyword density they should go for. Then once you receive their work, read it yourself to make sure everything is ok, edit the articles when necessary and post them here on Infobarrel. Now the next step is the toughest, you're going to have to play the waiting game for a little while. Give your articles a couple of weeks or even months to see which articles will generate the most revenue for you. It's important to keep track of which article writer wrote which article so you can then hire the best article writer(s). Play the waiting game and see which articles will give you the best ROI. If you're still not satisfied with your results from any of the writers, keep looking for these free review articles opportunities. The benefits of this strategy is that you will be able to test lots of different writers and see which ones are most profitable. And! As a bonus, you'll end up with a dozen free articles to use with no strings attached. You can post these on Infobarrel and see if they ever start generating you revenue.
One important thing I wanted to mention is that it's always important to keep ROI(return on investment) in mind when it comes to either investing your own time to write these articles or investing your own money to hire an article writer to write them for you. If you're investing you're own time, is it paying off? How much do you value your time? How much is your time worth? Is an hour of your time worth 5$? 25$? 50$? And are the hours you are investing bringing you in that amount of money? Also, how much is your money worth? What's the return on investment you'd like to make. Let's say you invest 5-10$ for an article(which is reasonable), within a year, do you want to have earned back 10% or your initial investment? More of less? You see what I mean? This is really key.
As always, comments are welcomed and encouraged. Cheers!
