Want to wear those cute short skirts or shorts above your knees, but you just donÃƒÂ¢ Â€ Â™t have the knees for it? Sagging skin around your knees looks awful with bathing suits, shorts and short skirts. Some of the sagging skin is the effect of aging. Although it can't be completely reversed there are some things you can do to shape up your knees.

1) Do squats. Stand straight with your feet shoulder width apart. Hold on to a table, kitchen counter or the back of a chair for balance. Slowly make the motion to sit. Do not squat deeply. A 45 Â° angle is all you need and no more than a 90 Â° angle. Do 2 sets of 10 to begin. Work your way up to 3 sets of 20 over the course of a few weeks. Go at your own pace.
2) Walk up and down your stairs. Slowly walk up a full flight of stairs and slowly walk down. Begin by going up and down the stairs 4 to 6 times per day and increase when you are comfortable. You want to work up to 12 times per day.
3) Do lunges. Stand straight with your feet shoulder width apart. Step forward as far as you can, hold for a 10 count, step back. Repeat on the other leg. Do 2 sets of 10. Work up to 3 sets of 20.
4) Begin a walking program. Start by walking around the park or around your neighborhood. Increase your distance as you feel comfortable.
Building and tightening muscles around your knees will help the look of your knees. Be patient, it will take some time to build and strengthen the muscles. Before starting any exercise program, be sure to get the approval of your doctor.
