How To Stay Fresh When You Can't Shower

By Edited Sep 1, 2016 0 1

Maybe you're on a camping trip and don't have running water. Maybe the water supply to your house has been shut off, or your bathroom is being remodeled. Or maybe you just woke up late and don't have time to get a shower. Whatever your reason is, you can't get a shower , but the world still expects you to look and smell clean and fresh. Here's what you do to make sure nobody can tell that you didn't get that shower.

Things You Will Need

Facial wipe
Dry shampoo
Shower to Shower Powder (or, if you don't have anything else, baby powder)

Step 1

The first thing you need to do in order to look and feel fresh is wipe your face off. Use a soft wipe, such as one from Olay. Wipe your entire face, avoiding your eyes and mouth, and focusing on any part that feels greasy to you. The pre-moistened wipe can also be used to get rid of any dirt on your body if water isn't available. Once you're finished with your face, just use it the same way on any other part of your body, such as your feet and knees.

Step 2

Fresh breath is also important for looking and feeling your best. Spend a few minutes brushing your teeth. Try to use one that contains a mouthwash, such as Colgate 2 in 1. This makes sure your breath will stay fresh and saves time.

Step 3

Greasy hair makes it obvious that you didn't shower. If your hair doesn't get greasy very fast, you can skip this step. If you do spray your hair, the dry shampoo will need to stay in for a few minutes, so once you've sprayed your hair, continue on to the next step.

Step 4

This is the best way to keep your body fresh without a shower. Simply rub the powder onto your skin, focusing on the dirtiest parts and parts that tend to sweat, such as under the arms.

Step 5

It should be time to get the dry shampoo out of your hair. All you need to do is brush. If you have a mirror, use it to make sure you've gotten all of the shampoo out, or use an invisible one so you aren't left with white powder in your hair.

Step 6

Finally, put on deodorant, just like you usually do. The last thing you need is to start smelling part of the way through the day.

You're done!

if you've completed all of these steps, you should be fresh, feeling nice, and ready to get through your day. I hope it's a good day!

Tips & Warnings

You want to make sure you get a regular bath or shower most of the time- only use these steps when you really need to.

It never hurts to have the dry shampoo and shower powder on hand, just in case you end up needing it, you'll be completely prepared and able to stay fresh when the unexpected happens. Some people will even carry it in their car or purse so they can always be ready.

As a drummer, I seem to remember not showering more often than showering, especially when I was out on tour. These are some great tips. Thanks.
