How To Stop Razor Burns

By | Feb 26, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Razor burns can be uncomfortable, and most people who shave have gotten them at one time or another. There is an easy way to stop razor burns however. This article will guide you in stopping razor burns in a few simple steps.

Things You Will Need

To follow the steps listed in this article in order to stop razor burns.

Step 1

The first step to stopping razor burns is to shave after you have taken a shower. Doing this will soften the hairs on your body much more than just slapping some water on them a few seconds before you shave. The softer the hair is the more easily it is able to be cut by a razor, which in turn will greatly reduce razor burns.

Step 2

The second step to stopping razor burns is to use a razor that pulsates when you shave. These razors make it much easier to cut the hairs because they raise them as they go across the surface of your skin. Most major razor manufacturers make these pulsating razors and they are readily available at most grocery or drug stores.

Step 3

The third step to stopping razor burns is to shave horizontally across the hair, not against the grain. When you shave horizontally across the hair this cuts down on the friction to the hair and your skin. By following the guidelines in this article you can stop razor burns and irritation to your skin that can come from shaving.
