How to Achieve Your Goals Now

By Edited Dec 25, 2015 0 0

Most of the super successful people in the world use goal setting to achieve the success and wealth that they want. No matter how large or out of reach what they want, they use the same strategy over and over again to be successful at getting what they want. So what does this have to do with you? You are not Donald Trump or Tim Ferris. The system that these ultra successful people use to achieve their goals can work for you.
-
One of the reoccurring thems to people who acieve their goals is that the use a simple strategy to get tere. It is simple so that it can easily be duplicated. They can take their plan and achiever one goal. When finished, they move that same plan on to the next. You can do this exact same thing to achieve your goals. There is no MBA or any other degree required to use this plan. All you need is determination to succeed and you will achieve your goals.
-
Step One
-
Brainstorm on what your goals are. Take a blank sheet of paper and just start writing. Do not limit yourself when writing down your goals. Let the ideas come to you naturally and jot down whatever comes to mind. No goal is too large or crazy to be listed. One super successful person has as one of his written goals to own the New York Jets. The sky is the limit.
-
It is best to give yourself at least an hour for this step, if not longer. You do not want to feel rushed as you write down your goals. This should be an enjoyable exercise that helps you to achieve your goals. It should not just be another task in your day to be rushed through.
-
Step Two
-
Choose 3 of your goals to work on right now. By narrowing your focus, you have increased your probability of being successful greatly. If this were the only thing that you did to achieve your goals, you would be well ahead of almost everyone else out there. Write these 3 goals on individual sheets of paper in a notebook. This means one goal on one page.
-
Step Three
-
Rewrite each goal to be a focused, positive statement. The first part of this is to write your goal like it is a given conclusion that you will achieve it. An example of this would be: I will lose weight or I will make $2k a month.
-
The next step is to make each step more focused and defined. The more exact that you are in your goals, the better your chances are for achieving them. For the first statement, you could change I will lose weight to I will lose 40 pounds by January 1, 2011. You need to have a time frame stated in your goal that you want to achieve it in. For the second goal, I will make $2k a month in the next 4 months is a much better statement.
-
Step Four
-
Look at your goals every day. To achieve your goals, they need to be always on your mind. Some people choose to say their goals to themselves. Others write them down and post them some place they will look often. You can even choose to write your goals in a journal every day. Pick a system that will work for you and go with it.
