How to Add Camouflage Pattern To Denim Pants Using Photoshop
Add a camouflage pattern to jeans in a picture. This Photoshop tutorial
uses the Vanderlee Camouflage Photoshop plugin. This plugin is free and I
have provided a link to it below.Things You Will Need
- Photoshop
- Vanderlee Camouflage Filter
Step 1
Using Photoshop open up a large picture of someone with jeans on. Iused an image from (Flickr/Juan266) that can be found on Flickr Here.Tutorial uses the Free VanDerLee Camouflage plugin. If you do not have the Vanderlee Camouflage plugin you can download it here for free.
Step 2
Select your Magic Wand ToolStep 3
Click on the jeans. It will select a lot of the jeans but not all of it.
To select the rest of the jeans hold down the shift key on your
keyboard and left click in the areas of the jeans not yet selected.By holding down the SHIFT key it adds to the current selection. If you make a mistake and select something other than the jeans you can hold down the ALT key and left click. When you hold down the ALT key and left click it will deselect the are as opposed to adding to it.
Step 4
Go to FILTER-VANDERLEE-Camouflage.Step 5
The VanDerLee Camouflage dialog box will pop up. Choose the
Common-Woodland pattern. You can feel free to experiment with the
various pattern options available. For this Photoshop tutorial I used
the default settings. When done click OK
Step 6
Now that your pants are camouflaged go to EDIT-FADE CAMOUFLAGEStep 7
The FADE CAMOUFLAGE dialog box will pop up. Adjust the OPACITY to %73 and put the blend MODE to "Color Dodge"- This same method works for adding a camouflage pattern to shirts, shoes, and anything else in a picture.
- Feel free to experiment to get the best results for the picture you use.
