How to Become a Reiki Master

If you are looking to become a Reiki Master you are probably already into healing with energy or know a little bit about Reiki in the first place. For those of you who don't know however, Reiki is an alternative therapy that uses healing energy to help people, but also animals and all other living things on earth and above.

Reiki originated in Japan but nowadays it is well known all around the world and many people have followed all different types of courses to either become a Reiki practitioner or Reiki Master. It is important to know that you should never diagnose as a Reiki practitioner, if a person comes to you with a serious health matter you should always ensure they go see their medical provider first.

If you want to become a Reiki practitioner there are many paths that lead to Rome. In the early days it was most common to go see a Reiki Master who could then teach you Reiki and attune you to it's healing energy and open up your energy channels.

It was quite normal to pay several hundreds of dollars (If not thousands) to get attuned and learn the Reiki symbols used in therapy sessions and the study would take several months if not years before you could actually do anything.

As a Reiki Master myself, having studied the long and hard way, I do however feel that it has been over complicated and I honestly don't feel that such a wonderful energy such as Reiki should be held only for those who can afford to spend thousands of dollars on their training.

I do feel that the more and longer you use Reiki energy, the more sensitive you become and the stronger and purer the energy becomes but I certainly don't think it is necessary to spend all that money on your education.

When you start learning about the principals of Reiki to become a Reiki Master you will see how it all started, and the more you know about it, the easier it will become to understand why it is very much possible for example to receive your attunements long distance, but first things first.

In order to reach your Reiki Master Levels you will first have to go through level one and two. During these first levels you will learn different Reiki symbols that you will need for your healing sessions. The different symbols all have their own healing powers and meanings, for example, you will learn a symbol that will aid you in long distance healing so that you too can send healing energy to another person anywhere in the world.

At first this concept might sound a bit far out, but if you come to think about it and start understanding the concept of healing energy, you will feel that the energy flows anywhere it is needed and you actually should not control it in such manner that you press your energy on somebody else. Instead, you should always leave that up to the person, they will feel when they are ready to accept the healing energy.

Remember that the Reiki symbols you will learn throughout your education to become a Reiki Master are sacred. They are mainly used to increase and enhance the flow of life energy and are used during the healing sessions and or attunements. The use of these symbols will create higher levels of spirituality, manifestation and awareness and it is important that you learn how to correctly use them in order for them to reach their full potential.

There are many places online where you can find the Reiki Symbols revealed but without knowing how to use them, what they really mean and without being attuned to their energy, they will not do a lot, so it is important that you find an (online) Reiki course to obtain the different Reiki levels first.

I have been asked many times about Reiki Self Attunements and many people find it hard to believe that it is actually possible to attune yourself to the Reiki symbols and their energy. What happens though in these self-attunements is that they are guided by a Reiki Master long distance. Many online Reiki courses for example come with either self-attunements through video or audio files or they happen long distance.

Once you fully understand the concept of energy and feel it's power you will realize that really there is no difference between healing face to face and long distance, seeing that Reiki energy will only go there where it is needed in the first place.

I know for myself that had I understood that concept when first training to become a Reiki Master, I most likely would have opted for an online Reiki course myself, instead of spending hundreds of dollars on training, traveling and time invested.

When you are thinking of becoming a Reiki Master, there re a few things that are really important.

Your reasoning behind becoming a Reiki Master
Having clear and clean intentions with the healing flow or energy
Finding the training that feels right for you in your personal situation

There are still many Reiki Masters as to date who feel they should let others think that Reiki energy should remain a big mystery but personally I feel the more people learning about Reiki and how to use it, the better. Reiki healing is truly a wonderful act and being able to share that with others and do right without being selfish is what I love most about this healing energy.

So if you are thinking of becoming a Reiki Master but the economical side of things is holding you back, I would certainly recommend you to look into the possibilities of taking an online Reiki course. Nowadays there are some very extensive ones available and after all, it is your own intention and desire to become a Reiki Master that will really impact the healing flow of energy and the more you use it, the more powerful it will become.
