How to Buy A Dress Online

By | 0 Comments | Rating: 0 | |

We all want to look great in a dress. There are hundreds of choices to make when buying a dress, and about a hundred more when making the purchase online. Besides price, one must consider style, fit, functionality, color, shipping time, and length.

Once you are ready to buy a dress online, there are two factors to consider before any of the others: How far away the shop is, and how many styles will you have to choose from.
If the shop is very far away you'll have to consider the shipping charges, meaning out of country. Many websites within the US offer free shipping with purchase, check the vendor web pages for more information. Places like Amazon and EBay have vendors within the site that offer free shipping and Amazon itself offers free shipping for specific products or specific amounts. Find out more on their website.

Once you've found a great purchase, it's important to look at fit. You can do this online by checking the size chart. For instance you may think you wear dresses size 16, but when viewing the merchant's sizing chart you'll find out the hip size may either be too big or too small. If that is the case, the dress size will need to go up or down. Check the bust, hip and waist measurements. If you're over 5'8 or under 5'5, you'll want to reconsider dress lengths as the dress you're purchasing may be too short or too long. Most dresses are made for between those lengths.
Dresses can serve a lot of functions depending on their styles. A sleeveless, tank or spaghetti strap dress are timeless styles that will work in nearly every formal occasion, provided the fabric and length are suitable for formal dresses. For casual dresses, almost any style is timeless. Other than very trendy dresses, like one shoulder or bubble skirt dresses, certain dresses can last throughout all seasons and years. Stick with A-line, pencil, flare and sheath dresses for a timeless and functional dress style.

Colors are completely subjective to individual taste and coloring. While some colors work well throughout the year; black, grey, beige and navy, others work only during summer; white and pastel colors. Whether one prefers black or white, is a personal decision, but it is important to bear in mind that they won't be able to wear the dress year round.

Lastly, the price of a dress is also subjective. There are many places to find great prom, wedding and evening dresses size 14, 16, 18 and 20 at good prices. Where previously there was a greater price for those sizes, today the average woman wears a size 14, making the average price go down.

Every woman looks beautiful in a dress, if she wears it with assurance. Be bold and wear a sleeveless dress, off the shoulder, mini dress or pencil skirt, whether you're wearing a size 12, 14 or 2
