How to Buy American Silver Eagles

By | Jun 17, 2009 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

American Silver Eagles are perhaps the perfect silver bullion for the common investor. They are easily purchased, look great and cause little problems with storage. With all that the smart move for investors in these difficult times is the American Silver Eagle.

Buying Eagles is very simple. First decide on an amount to be invested. Set a target amount or troy ounce amount and start accumulating the silver. It is always prudent to have a plan before investing.

Many banks offer Silver Eagles or work with dealers. An investor can start there, but continue searching for a the best price. Eagles are based on the spot price, but there is always a mark up from there. For Eagles this is often pretty high.

One tip in buying Eagles is to make a small purchase and wait to see the product. By doing this you are not risking a lot of money to an unknown company. Another bonus of doing this is the company will often follow up with a cheaper price.

Avoid coin shows that are not creditable. The problem with coin shows is the increasing number of fake Eagles, both gold and silver. Hopefully, by purchasing from a dealer verification process will have been completed.

Silver really is the common investors best friend in precious metals, so start planning now and build up the silver reserve, protecting against inflation.
