How to Buy Cheap Printers

By | May 31, 2010 | 0 Comments | Rating: 0

Printers are like most other computer devices, they become outdated and obselete quickly. In fact, if your printer lasts for 3 years, you're doing pretty well. Think about your last few printers, and how long you had them before they stopped working or you couldn't connect them to the computer for some reason or another. Printer's don't last long, so don't spend all your money on a printer that you're going to be replacing in just a few years.

Who wants to for over a lot of their savings on a printer when you can buy a low cost printer that can print everything you need for much less? You shouldn't be giving anyone more than approximately $150 for a printer unless you have a special attribute you're not willing to live without a printer. Here are some key things to look for in a printer.

What unique features does it have? Nowadays you can get just about any feature you want in a combined printer. You can look around for a photo printer, the ability to print letters, business cards, you name it. Many printers availabletoday permit you to connect your camera directly to the printer and print . Plainly if you give upthese features, it can save you a bit of cash. Cheap printers frequently do a sufficient job but might not have all the fancy features.

Connected or Wireless? When you look for a cheap printer it's best to avoid wireless. If you only have a single computer, the wireless situation isn't much of a problem, you can just link your printer up to the computer. If you have several laptop users and more than one of your computers, you might think over a wireless printer. It might be more expesnive for a cheap printer, but if you search at multiple stores, you can still come out ahead.

How quickly does that thing print? This is one of my biggest pet peeves. I hate those printers thattake a seemingly endless amount of timejust to print a small amount of pages. Look for a printer that can print 20-30 pages a minute. This means you will print a page every few of seconds. The better quality and cheap printers oftentimes have the option to print quick, it's just a matter of which printer you get.

These are some great things to look for in a printer. Compare unique features and make a decision based on what's best for your printer needs.
