How to Buy at the Dollar Store and Sell on Ebay for a Profit

The idea of making extra money online is only a dollar store away. Those folks who are looking to make a profit on eBay are actually buying popular items at dollar store and selling it to customers across the country. This idea has been very successful for eBay sellers and is easy to do. The trick is finding the perfect combination. Here's how you too can buy at the dollar store and sell at eBay...at a profit.

Step 1

The first thing you need to start by your local dollar store and take a look around. Take your cell phone along with you as well. This will be a chance to see what is available to purchase and resell. Start looking for quality items that might be of interest to sell.

Step 2

For each item you think might be a possible item to sell on eBay, whip out your cell phone and take a picture. Make sure you write down any information about the product that might also be helpful (this would include the make and model.)

Step 3

Take your cell phone home and sit down at your computer. Boot up your eBay page and start searching for these items on eBay. You will need to find out if there are current items that are similar for sale as well as completed items. For the completed items you need to look to see if they sold, consistantly, and how much they were sold for.

Step 4

The items that have sold consistantly plus have a profit of $2 plus are items you need to consider for posting on eBay. Take the list of the these items and go back to the dollar store to purchase. It is recommended that you buy one or two each of these items.

Step 5

Keep in mind that items that sell very well on eBay that can be bought for a dollar from the dollar store include holiday items and kitchen supplies. Make sure each item can be easily shipped and are not fragile. Selling dollar store items on eBay can easily profit your pocketbook. All you need to do is research the items before you buy so you don't get stuck with items you don't want.
